The Omega Seamaster 300M is one of the most recognisable watches around. We can say thank you to James Bond for wearing it since 1995. Omega first started producing the Seamaster long before the British Spy Films, in 1948. The design of the watch was based slightly on what Omega had been producing for the British Royal Navy towards the end of the Second World War. Originally, the Omega Seamaster was set apart thanks to it’s O-ring gasket, which would provide it’s waterproof seal. This was done with various war-time water vessells in mind. A watch being water-resistant and way less vulnerable to any pressure changes was ideal for those onboard of Submarines. In 1955, Gordon McLean famously set a diving record of 205ft. This was the first diving record Omega set, and it’s one of man. Featuring a blue uni-rotational bezel and blue dial with luminous dots and batons, this is the classic 2551.80.00 model. The 36mm case is home to an automatic movement with a date function. The watch has been serviced by Omega in October 2020 and is in full working order. It comes with it’s servicing case and paperwork. This watch has been checked by our watch restorers and watchmakers. It’s guaranteed by Fixalinks’ 1 year warranty.
