There’s no doubt the Rolex is known as THE luxury and classic timepiece brand. The company was founded over 100 years ago in 1902 London, although the Rolex brand wasn’t officially trademarked until 1908.
The company is currently owned by a trust and is still producing around 2000 watches per day.
At present the Rolex collection houses the following models…
– Datejust II
– Datejust Lady 31
– Datejust Pearlmaster 34
– Day-date II
– Cosmograph Daytone
– Rolex Deepsea
– Explorer II
– GMT-Master II
– Lady-Datejust Pearlmaster
– Oyster Perpetual
– Sea Dweller 4000
– yacht-Master II
Rolex vintage watches are still highly sought after especially for collectors. Here are our top 3…
– Rolex GMT Master 1675
The Rolex GMT Master 1675 is an iconic Rolex sports watch. The 1675 model became the classic GMT model in the early 1960’s.
The nicknamed ‘Pepsi watch’ with its iconic blue and red bezel even though highly sought after, is also pretty readily available making it one of Rolex’s more affordable collectable vintage watches.
– Rolex Datejust 1601
The Datejust is the essence of the Rolex collection. One of the classiest watches to ever be created. It is chronometer certified and waterproof and was made in both sterling silver as well as gold.
Although still not rare or particularly hard to get hold of, The Rolex Datejust 1601 will still set you back more than the Rolex GMT Master 1675.
– Rolex Submariner 5513
The Rolex Submariner is a classic dive watch and although it’s widely available, it is still in our top 3 for collectors.
The 5513 model has one of the longest manufacturer runs of any Rolex and ran from 1962-1989. Again, like the Datejust 1601 and the GMT Master, the Submariner 5513 is readily available and affordable.
